Delete your account & data

You're in control of your data. You can delete your OnEarth account at any time. The fastest way is from inside the app. If you can't access the app, you can submit a request from this page and we'll process it within 30 days.

  1. Open the OnEarth app and sign in
  2. Go to Profil → Ayarlar → Hesap

What gets deleted — and what doesn't

For full transparency, here is exactly what happens when you delete your account:

Data category Status Notes
Account profile (username, photo, bio, email, phone) DELETED Removed from public view immediately, purged from databases within 30 days.
Videos you uploaded DELETED Removed from the live globe, regional maps, and feeds immediately. Original files deleted from Cloudflare Stream within 14 days.
Comments, likes, follows DELETED All comments you made, accounts you followed, videos you liked.
Location history of past videos DELETED Geo coordinates and timestamps tied to deleted videos.
Sessions, device tokens, push subscriptions DELETED All active sessions are signed out immediately.
Personal analytics & recommendation history DELETED Pseudonymized event data is purged within 30 days.
Payout records (if you received earnings) RETAINED 7 YRS Required by tax / accounting law. Stored separately from your active profile. Not searchable. Anonymized where legally permitted.
Videos already licensed to a buyer BUYER COPY KEPT Removed from public view. Buyers retain the copy they licensed under the terms of their license agreement. Your name as creator is preserved in the license metadata.
Moderation history (for content that violated policy) RETAINED 2 YRS Required for safety, fraud prevention, and appeal records. Pseudonymized.
Records subject to legal hold RETAINED If subject to a law enforcement request, court order, or pending dispute, data may be retained until resolved.
Anonymous, aggregated statistics AGGREGATED Already aggregated and de-identified — cannot be traced back to you.
Timeline summary
• Public removal: within 24 hours
• Server-side deletion: within 30 days
• Backup purge: up to 90 days (encrypted backups age out automatically)
• Tax records: retained 7 years if you received any payout

Request deletion via web

Use this form if you can't access the app. We'll send a verification link to the email associated with your account.

Account deletion request

Got it.
We've received your request and just sent a verification email. Click the link in that email to confirm. After confirmation, your data is deleted within 30 days. If you don't see the email within 10 minutes, check your spam folder or email us at privacy@getOnEarth.com.
Prefer email? Write to privacy@getOnEarth.com from the address tied to your account, with the subject line "Account deletion request" and include your username. We'll respond within 5 business days.

Change your mind?

You have 14 days after submitting a deletion request to cancel it — sign back into the app within 14 days and your account is fully restored. After 14 days, deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

Delete just some data (not your account)

If you don't want to delete your whole account, you can still:

Export your data first

Before deleting, you may want to download a copy of your data. Go to Settings → Account → Download my data in the app, or email privacy@getOnEarth.com. We'll send a ZIP with all your videos, captions, profile data, and earnings history within 7 days.
